Noon run

15 January, 2006 · Leave a Comment

It should come to no surprise that afternoon in Tokyo now is actually the best times to run. In the morning, it may be still too cold and in the night its freezing!

Well, usually I wake up like 10 am to 12 pm during the weekends and during work days, sometimes when I get home, its freezing cold and I really don’t feel like running with frozen toes.

Anyhow, woke up today around 11 am, switched on the TV and they were showing biathlon! The problem with me is that everytime I see someone running on the road or on TV, I get either jealous (because I wished I could run like them) and/or inspired to run, at the moment. Well, this is one of the times when I really followed up with it and decided to go running at 12 noon at Ueno park ponds.

I must say that it is an enjoyable run. The park was crowded with homeless people, avid photographers, people walking in the parks and feeding the ducks and gulls. Most of the leaves are gone and the lotus ponds is full of dried up leaves all food stored up in its roots.
